The BIG Audition – MTFF 2022

It’s time to find performers for the Musical Theatre Fringe Festival with The BIG Audition! The auditions will take place on 8th May at Sing’theatre between 9:30am-2:00pm. Performers will be issued a 1-hour audition time slot within this time.
We have many shows and events looking for performers to take part in their shows and many performers wanting to perform in a show. So the MTFF have organised The BIG audition so that performers and directors can come together in one place to meet as many performers and productions as possible. This unique opportunity will give performers a chance to audition for many directors and collectives in one day, performing in 3 different audition rooms in one hour.
The full casting details of all the shows seeking performers during the big audition will be released in the next few weeks, but for now, if you are a Musical Theatre performer and would like to try out for a role in a festival production, this BIG audition day is for you!
Anyone is welcome to audition on this day no matter your experience, there will be professional and amateur productions seeking actors and you will get a chance to audition for all productions seeking actors on the day!
The Audition requirement:
- Prepare a 1-minute musical theatre song of your choice (with both backing track & sheet music prepared)
- Prepare a 1-minute monologue
Auditionees will move around the venue to perform to 3 different panels of directors within a one-hour timeslot. There are no guarantees of roles and auditionees will be contacted by the directors if they have been shortlisted for a production. All auditionees must be aged 16 and above.
Auditions will be held at Sing’theatre studios at 21 Tan Quee Lan Street.
If you cannot make this date you can still register to audition online and your videos will be sent to all the directors for consideration.
