A perfectly musical night with Sing’theatre & Jaksical

On Saturday, Sing’theatre gave a warm welcome to musical theatre enthusiast group, Jaksical, hosting a night of open mic fun at LASALLE’s Lowercase Café. Jaksical, hailing from Jakarta, Indonesia, reached out to the Sing’theatre team a few weeks ago, suggesting a meet-up to network and socialize with more like-minded musical theatre enthusiasts in Singapore. Thus began the collaborative idea of an open mic event featuring Jaksical as the special guest of the night.
With the generous support of Lowercase Café for lending us their venue for the night, the open mic was an overwhelming success, with members from both Jaksical as well as musical theatre enthusiasts from Singapore taking over the stage, singing their hearts out. To encourage participants from both countries to mix and mingle even more, hosts TJ and Sam issued a little challenge for the night: to find the most interesting piece of trivia from another participant. It was heartwarming to see the audience having a good time sharing fun facts about themselves and bonding over their mutual love for all things musical theatre.
